It is a master skills live immersion developed and offered by the ASRA Pain Medicine POCUS course directors and senior faculty, in response to the demand for an advanced course. After participating in this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate the techniques and utility of advanced cardiac ultrasound
- Integrate Doppler ultrasound principles for pressure and cardiac output estimation using advanced Focus Assessed Transthoracic Echocardiography (FATE)
- Apply diastology of the heart into clinical practice
- Evaluate lung pathologies using integrated cardiac and lung ultrasound
- Assess intracranial pathologies using ocular and transcranial ultrasound
- Estimate fluid and hemodynamic status
- Assess systemic congestion using venous doppler ultrasound
- Utilize a variety of ultrasound machines to learn advanced POCUS
- Predict the limitations of cardiac ultrasound
- Practice advanced point of care ultrasound for enhanced patient care
