Application Deadline: Editorial Board Members
Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine Editor-in-Chief (EIC) Dr. Brian Sites invites applications for Associate Editor, Editor, and Executive Editor roles on the journal Editorial Board. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a growing peer-reviewed publication ranking 5/64 in the Anesthesiology category, with an Impact Factor of 5.1 and a Citescore of 8.5.
RAPM is ASRA Pain Medicine's official journal committed to publishing the latest research and reviews in anesthesiology and postoperative pain treatment. Published monthly, RAPM contains peer-reviewed scientific and clinical studies to advance the understanding and clinical application of regional techniques for surgical anesthesia and postoperative analgesia. Coverage includes intraoperative regional techniques, perioperative pain, chronic pain, obstetric anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, outcome studies, and complications. RAPM is also the official publication of the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA), the Asian & Oceanic Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine (AOSRA-PM), the Latin American Society of Regional Anesthesia (LASRA), and the African Society for Regional Anesthesia (AFSRA).
The deadline to submit applications is February 28, 2025. All terms will begin at the close of the 50th Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Meeting on May 3rd, 2025. Positions will be evaluated for renewal at the close of the 51st Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Meeting in the spring of 2026. Renewals are merit-based and will be determined based on the quality and quantity of work completed throughout the term.

If you have never served on the Editorial Board, or if you are currently a member of the RAPM Editorial Board and wish to apply for a promotion to Editor or Executive Editor, you also must provide:
- A personal statement/letter of interest explaining why you are interested in the position and summarizing your qualifying experience. Must be submitted as a PDF file (10 MB or less).
- A letter of recommendation from your department chair or, if you are in non-academic/private practice setting, a mentor or current/previous supervisor/leader. Must be submitted as a PDF file (10 MB or less).
