Each individual program may have additional requirements such as medical licensing. The information published here has been supplied by the individual institutions. University of New Mexico

Our Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine division offers 2 ACGME accredited fellowship positions. You will become an expert at regional anesthesiology and an experienced consultant as part of the Acute Pain Service.

The bulk of your rotations will take place at our ambulatory surgery center where we perform thousands of nerve blocks and outpatient catheter placements. In addition, you will rotate on the Acute Pain Service at our main hospital. As the only Level 1 Trauma Center and referral hospital for a large geographic area, you will be exposed to complex patients requiring skillful incorporation of regional anesthetic and acute pain management techniques in addition to exposure to pediatric nerve blocks and catheter management via our associated Children's Hospital.
