The goal of the fellowship is to develop expertise in regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine. Fellows gain hands-on experience performing a wide variety of peripheral nerve blocks, utilizing both single-injection and continuous catheter techniques. Throughout the program, fellows achieve proficiency in the perioperative management of patients undergoing regional anesthesia.

 

The curriculum includes participation in a state-of-the-art clinical anatomy lab and a dedicated point-of-care ultrasound rotation, during which fellows earn the ASA Diagnostic POCUS Certificate. Research and quality improvement opportunities are integrated into the fellowship, supporting the development of academic and leadership skills.
