ASRA Annual Spring Meeting Cancelled Due to COVID-19 Concerns

Mar 13, 2020, 21:48 PM by ASRA

After much consideration and discussion, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) has made the difficult decision to cancel the 45th Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Meeting scheduled for April 23-25, 2020, in San Francisco, CA. The decision was announced on March 13 in an email from ASRA President Eugene Viscusi, MD.

"Our team, like many of you, has been eagerly anticipating and preparing for this year’s meeting. The exciting program is filled with cutting-edge and thought-provoking topics including novel formats. However, the health and safety of the ASRA community is our highest priority."

If you are registered for the 45th Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Meeting, your registration will be automatically cancelled and you will be refunded the associated registration fees. You do not have to notify us. Additionally, if you have already cancelled and incurred cancellation fees, these will also be automatically refunded. Please allow 30 days to receive your refund. All ePoster fees will also be automatically refunded. If you have questions, please send them via email to ASRAMeetings@asra.com.

As a reminder, ASRA does not reimburse airfare or other costs, but many airlines are offering liberal cancellation policies.

"I am grateful to everyone who has worked tirelessly with the planning of the 2020 Spring Meeting and to all who continue to support our organization," Dr. Viscusi wrote.

ASRA extends a special thank you to the 45th Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Meeting Planning Committee and Faculty.
