ASRA Pain Medicine Update

Suryakumar Narayanasamy, MBBS, MD, FASA, is an associate professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and associate director for Anesthesia Imaging in the Department of Anesthesiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Dr. Narayanasamy completed his anesthesiology residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and his fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. His clinical and research interests include point-of-care ultrasound and pediatric regional anesthesia, with a focus on using ultrasound to make rapid bedside diagnoses and improve patient care. As a pediatric anesthesiologist and father of two, he is committed to building trust with young patients and their families through careful listening, empathy, and advocacy. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, cooking, baking, and spending time with his children.
