Dr. Mohamed Ehab Ramadan

Our Membership Spotlight Series for August features Mohamed Ehab Ramadan, MBBCh, MSc, PhD. Dr. Ramadan was nominated by Kevin Tang, who was matched with Dr. Ramadan through ASRA Pain Medicine’s Mentor Match Program earlier this year. Besides mentoring, Dr. Ramadan currently works as an anesthesiologist and chronic pain physician at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.

Kevin Tang describes Dr. Ramadan as an amazing mentor. “Dr. Ramadan has done a fantastic job in guiding me through the process of applying to residency, conducting research, and preparing myself for audition rotations.”

Dr. Ramadan received his medical degree in 2006 and his PhD in 2017 from Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University in Egypt. He completed his residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in 2023 and went on to complete his fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in June of 2024.

This isn't the first time Dr. Ramadan has demonstrated his leadership and mentoring abilities, as he was previously a mentor for the Program for Individualized Mentorship Education Solutions and a delegate for the New York Presbyterian Methodist Hospital Committee of Residents and Interns. He has also worked on over a dozen peer-reviewed publications.

Since becoming an ASRA Pain Medicine member in 2020, Dr. Ramadan has been very involved in the society, mentoring medical students, belonging to many Special Interest Groups, and attending multiple ASRA Pain Medicine meetings over the years.
