Multisociety Pain Workgroup Supports Coverage of Sacroiliac Interventions for Pain Medicine
On Friday, ASRA Pain Medicine joined 9 other societies in writing a letter in support of Medicare coverage for sacroiliac joint injections (SJIs) and procedures. The support is based on appropriate use criteria for sacroiliac interventions, developed by a multisociety expert rating panel, which stated that "intraarticular sacroiliac injections and thermal lateral branch radiofrequency neurotomy are appropriate treatments for appropriately selected patients."
ASRA Pain Medicine advocates on its members' behalves to support coverage of evidence-based international pain therapies. Read the letter.
