Several special interest groups (SIGs) will hold a SIGnificant Session in conjunction with the 50th Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Meeting in Orlando. These meetings are in-person only. Be sure to mark your calendar!

Thursday, May 1

  • 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Educators in Regional Anesthesia: Innovation and Future Direction of Regional Anesthesia Education from Technology to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (St. John's 32-34).

    Join us to discuss the innovations and future of regional anesthesia as we explore the directions and trends affecting how we practice this specialty and how our daily work could be affected. 
  • 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Regional Anesthesia Cardiothoracic Enhanced Recovery: Enhanced Techniques and Outcomes (St. John's 32-34).

    Join the Regional Anesthesia Cardiothoracic Enhanced Recovery SIG for an engaging discussion focused on innovative regional anesthesia techniques enhancing recovery and outcomes in cardiothoracic procedures, including arrhythmia treatment.

Friday, May 2 

  • 8:00 am – 9:00 am: Wellness: Work-Life Balance in Anesthesiology: Lessons I Wish I Knew Sooner (St. John's 31).

    Start your morning off by reflecting on advice given from a panel of attending physicians who share their insights and recommendations on achieving a work-life balance and having a successful career.
  • 9:00 am – 10:00 am: Pediatric Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management: Review of Select Pediatric Regional Anesthesia Abstracts (St. John's 32-34).

    Join us as we explore select pediatric regional anesthesia abstracts that will be presented at the conference to gain insight into their methodologies, results, and implications.
  • 10:30 am – 11:30 am: Green Anesthesia: Choosing Wisely in Your Regional Anesthesia Practice (St. John's 32-34).

    This session will provide strategies to reduce your carbon footprint while practicing regional anesthesia and help you formulate your own plan to practice environmentally sustainable anesthesia.
  • 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Perioperative Medicine: Spotlight on Perioperative Medicine (St. John's 32-34).

    Join us as we review and discuss select meeting abstracts relevant to perioperative medicine to better understand their methodologies, results, and implications.

Saturday, May 3 

  • 6:45 am – 7:45 am: Diversity and Inclusion Breakfast: Building Resilience in Healthcare: Adapting to Change and Shaping the Future (St. John's 32-34).

    This special event is an opportunity for networking among ASRA Pain Medicine members and will review the unique healthcare needs and challenges faced by women and transgender individuals in light of state and federal executive orders and will discuss how healthcare providers can continue to serve these communities. Share your ideas and participate in topical discussions led by leaders in the society. This session requires separate registration. Register now.
  • 9:00 am – 10:00 am:  Perioperative Point-of-Care Ultrasound: Select POCUS-Related Meeting Abstracts (St. John's 32-34).
