Overview
This 1-hour, on-demand module presented by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) in collaboration with the American Medical Association (AMA) and Shatterproof provides information and guidance for prescribers seeking to initiate buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid use disorder.
This module expands on the SAMHSA Buprenorphine Quick Start Guide. Utilizing the chronic care framework of addiction treatment, this fully on-demand module offers practical considerations for buprenorphine initiation, dosing, and ongoing patient management. Further, through interactive and application-focused learning, participants will explore the core principles of opioid use disorder treatment and the importance of language when treating patients with this condition.
The target audience for this introductory level activity includes prescribers seeking to initiate buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid use disorder.
