Purpose

The Pain Chiefs Collaborative was formed to cultivate a dynamic and collaborative network for pain division chiefs. It’s designed to:

  • Facilitate open dialogue and knowledge exchange
  • Share strategies to address common challenges
  • Empower leaders to improve patient care, elevate educational programs, and advance research

This group will serve as a foundation for continuous improvement, innovation, and professional support for pain division leadership nationwide.

This group is intended for current or past chairs or vice chairs of pain medicine, division, service or section chiefs of pain medicine, directors of pain medicine, or any equivalent organizational role.

    Meetings

The Pain Chiefs Collaborative will meet at least once per year virtually to maintain communication and address emerging topics.

An additional in-person gathering, hosted during the ASRA Pain Medicine Annual Pain Medicine Meeting in the fall, will provide an opportunity for deeper engagement, networking, and discussion. A member of the ASRA Pain Medicine Board of Directors who specializes in chronic pain will be appointed as a liaison to the group.

    Join a Task Group

Task groups offer a flexible opportunity to share your knowledge and contribute to projects that will make a difference. Learn more about task forces and apply to serve here.

    Outcomes

This collaborative aims to build a supportive, forward-thinking community for Pain Division Chiefs, fostering professional growth and ensuring continued progress in the delivery of high-quality pain care, education, and research. By connecting leaders, the ASRA Pain Medicine Pain Chiefs Collaborative will amplify the impact of Pain Medicine leadership and contribute to the advancement of the specialty on a national level. Supporting an organized community of Pain Division Chiefs can increase engagement in ASRA Pain Medicine, not only of the Chiefs themselves but of their division members and trainees.
