Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, participants will have an understanding of the clinical aspects of ultrasound anatomy, knowledge of the difference between ultrasound and fluoroscopy for interventional pain procedures, and the advantages and disadvantages of each technique for cervical spine, lumbar spine, trunk, peripheral nerve, musculoskeletal joint and tendon injections. Participants will also have a better understanding of basic principles, knobology and sterility, and local anesthetic choices during ultrasound guided pain interventional procedures.
Target Audience
This program is designed for Pain Practitioners, Anesthesiologists, PM&R physicians, Neurologists and Sports Medicine physicians currently using or wishing to use ultrasound technology for interventional pain procedures. All didactic lectures will address aspects of ultrasound anatomy, performance of the block, ultrasound versus fluoroscopy, and the advantages and disadvantages of each technique.
Accreditation and Designation
The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

They are:
1. Ilioinguinal, iliohypogastric nerve injection
2. Intercostal nerve block
3. Suprascapular nerve injection
4. Piriformis muscle injection
5. Cervical sympathetic (stellate ganglion) block
6. Lumbosacral and caudal spine imaging and injection
