Registration Information
Registration for each workshop is limited to 50 registrants and is fi lled on a first-come, first-served basis. These workshops will fill up quickly, so Register Early!
The registration fee for ASRA members to attend the Excellence in Regional Anesthesia Workshops is $695 for pre-registration and $795 after the preregistration cut-off date or for on-site registration. Registration includes participation in the program, breakfast, lunch, breaks and course materials.
Refund Policy
A refund less $100 administrative fee will be given if cancellation notice is received up to one week prior to the start of the designated workshop. No refunds will be given if cancelled less than seven days before the designated workshop.
Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, participants will have an understanding of the clinical aspects of ultrasound anatomy, knowledge of the difference between ultrasound and nerve stimulation, and the choice of local anesthetics and dosing in the administration of brachial plexus blocks both above and below the clavicle, blocks of the abdomen, blocks of the lower extremities and paraspinal blocks. Participants will also have a better understanding of basic principles, knobology and sterility, and local anesthetic toxicity during ultrasound procedures, as well as knowledge of billing and business plans as they relate to ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia.
Target Audience
This program is designed for regional anesthesia practitioners currently using or wishing to use ultrasound technology in the administration of regional nerve blocks. All clinical lectures will address aspects of ultrasound anatomy, performance of the block, ultrasound versus nerve stimulation versus both, local anesthetic choice and dosing.
Accreditation and Designation
The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
